What can you expect from an observation or professional dialogue?

Peer observation and professional dialogue offer a collaborative opportunity for colleagues to reflect on their practice, exchange insights, and strengthen their professional approaches.

  • Development through reflection – informal observations and professional dialogues

    Invite a TLOC Associate to observe your teaching or engage in a reflective professional dialogue. These coaching-based exchanges generate actionable insights to enhance practice and support professional growth.

  • Feedback on Feedback

    Feedback on Feedback offers you a chance to reflect on and receive constructive, developmental input on the feedback you’ve given students, helping you refine your approach to make it clearer, more actionable, and more impactful.

  • Inter-school peer observation

    You can be observed by experienced academics who provide professional, independent and consistent feedback. All observations are confidential, and no information will be sent to your school.

  • School-based peer observation

    We can provide support and guidance to schools and departments who wish to establish or enhance their own observation schemes.

  • Professional development

    These are formal observations than can be used as evidence for a range of professional programmes including the UNM PGCHE programme.

  • Lord Dearing Award

    Demonstrate the scope, value, and impact of your work in:

    These structured dialogues contribute directly to your LDA submission.
